Things to do with children while staying at Brandon Bay Cottages.
Playground - There is a little playgound behind the community center in brandon.
Beach - There are numerous beachs locally . They are suitable for all age groups. Older children can go to castle gregory to get tuition on various water sport while younger children will play in the sand , gather shells or catch shrimps. Cappagh beach is lovely when the tide is out as there are little rock pools with loads of shrimps and crabs. You can buy little nets locally. During the first 2 weeks of July there is watersafety classes at brandon pier. There is half an hour of tuition a day and the price is very reasonable. It is a great week and happens regardless of the weather!
Watersports - Waterworld in castlegregory runs camps for children during the summer months. They also do windsufing, kite surfing and wave surfing lessons for children and adults. Waterworld & Jamie Know Watersports
Forest Walk - There is a lovely forset walk in Glenteenassig also about 10 miles away. There are various walks suitable for all abiliites.
Summer Camp as Gaeilge - There is a summer camp running in the local community center for july and august. Children have the opportunity to take part in various activities - sports, arts and crafts, cooking etc while improving their irish. You can phone 353-66-7138137 for further information.
